[The Global Health Course http://www.pitt.edu/~super1/lecture/lec29991/index.htm]

Currently less than 1% of the world's medical and public health students receive any training in Global health. We plan to teach 50-60% and would like your thoughts, and interest in joining us.

The current approach for training is to bring 4-500 students for training in the US. This is extremely expensive. Also a large percentage stay here.

Our approach to try to reach the ~400-500,000 medical and public health students with a single lecture each year on global health. To do this we have created a short global health lecture which can be delivered as .ppt files, .pdf, or even paper. You view it at: _ [www.pitt.edu/~super1/lecture/lec29991/index.htm] in English

It is already translated into 4 languages, and will be translated into many more.

We are looking to see networks that might reach into each of the faculty who will be the distributor of the lecture. We are also building country and area specific networks to share and keep track of the training.

We will send a lecture each year. Most of the students will go into clinical medicine, but they will also appreciate global health.

We would love your thoughts, also, if you see any networks that would link to the medical schools, please tell us. We would also like to work directly with you
